2 – 6 October, 3.00pm – 5.300pm daily @ State Theatre Centre, Perth Cultural Centre ◆

Young people from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds are invited to join Common Ground – a spoken word workshop series facilitated by acclaimed performance poets, Sukhjit Khalsa (pictured above) and Abdul Hammoud.

Connect with other young people (15 and over) from diverse cultures and faiths to create new expressions in spoken word poetry. No experience is necessary, you will be guided through the process from page to performance.
Common Ground was created by Sukhdeep Singh (L-fresh the Lion) in 2013 who aimed to create a space for young people from diverse backgrounds to come together and use spoken word and poetry as a medium for dialogue, friendship and interaction.
