Jordi Savall brings to Perth Concert Hall his extraordinary ensemble of early music specialists Hespèrion XXI and Mexico’s Tembembe Ensamble Continuo for a rousing program of dance music that masterfully mixes 15th and 16th century European music, indigenous Mexican and Latin American sounds and contemporary improvisations. These virtuoso musicians create an atmosphere that is more like a party than a performance – full of rich colour, rhythm and a joyous sense of spontaneity.
