Arts journalism merger unveiled

We’ve got some exciting news for you, Seesaw readers!

Two of Western Australia’s most respected arts writers, Seesaw’s Nina Levy and Noted’s Rosalind Appleby, have joined forces, merging their respective arts websites under the Seesaw banner.

The pair lead a team of critics that includes Perth’s most experienced and best-known arts writers, including David Zampatti, Jan Hallam, Varnya Bromilow, Sandra Bowdler and Mark Naglazas.

The merger is part of a larger vision to launch a fully funded, professional digital arts journalism platform in July 2019, to document, champion and critique the local arts scene. The new Seesaw platform will be a one-stop shop for the arts in WA, generating and accelerating the arts’ most powerful marketing tool – word of mouth. It’s time to restore journalism to the arts ecosystem.
