Albany Sinfonia’s collaborative performance with acclaimed Perth ensemble, Viola Dana, promises to be a cinematic sensation. On Sunday September 15th, Orana Cinemas Albany hosts an authentic silent movie experience, featuring the adored 1924 movie, SHERLOCK JR. – directed by and starring slapstick comedy great, Buster Keaton.
Film score composer and violist, Kathy Potter, says, ‘Viola Dana are very excited about going down to Albany to perform with the Sinfonia again. We were bowled over by the warm welcome the Sinfonia gave to us.’ Artistic Director, Neville Talbot’s ‘dynamic and detailed’ conducting, coupled with gleaming local talent and ‘a wonderful bunch of musicians’ from the Albany Sinfonia promises a sensational event, and a first of its kind for Orana Cinemas Albany.
