Joshua Cusack is a budding composer and bassist from Perth, WA. His large ensemble music features aspects of jazz, free music and electronics. In 2018 Joshua wrote a suite of music to celebrate his time spent at WAAPA, “the graduation suite”. This music among others will be performed by Joshua’s exciting ten piece band. His music is pensive, exciting, experimental and not to be missed.

Formed in 2014, Helium is a dynamic instrumental trio featuring standout WA musicians Harry Mitchell on organ, Jeremy Thomson on guitar and Daniel Susnjar on drums. Presenting a fresh new sound in Australian music which combines elements of contemporary jazz, Latin America rhythms and minimalist music, Helium is pushing the organ trio ensemble format into exciting and unchartered musical territories.
