Rock ‘n’ roll badass Abbe May is a femme fatale shredder who has carved a name for herself as a chameleon of musical genre-hopping. She returns with her strongest effort yet – FRUIT, an album of electro-soul explosions, underpinned with the personal tales of someone who has found her roar. With the launch of this album, May presents Clam Jam – a mini-festival celebrating women in music. With an all-star line-up of Australia’s finest female legends this joyous showcase of musical prowess and kickass talent is a night for everyone to feel the love.
To celebrate Clam Jam, we present the reformation of one of Perth’s best-loved indie punkers, Sex Panther. Established in 2005 these sass queens were self-professed ‘boozehound babes’ who created a joke band that went on to kick plenty of rock ass. Welcome back ladies.
Rounding out the bill we are thrilled to feature Thelma Plum, she of the warm colloquial purr. A singer-songwriter of divine proportions, Plum is the heartbreaker who traverses genres with a deftness and mischief that is instantly captivating.
