Asher Fisch and WASO continue their journey through Mahler’s symphonies.
Stefanie Irányi joins WASO in the ethereal finale of Mahler’s Fourth Symphony, music that describes a child’s vision of Heaven – “the angelic voices gladden our senses, so that all awaken for joy”.
Mahler’s sunniest symphony opens with sleighbells and birdsong, full of expressive orchestral detail and glorious melody.
