8 – 16 February @ Rigby’s Bar ·
Presented by Curio Network ·
A comedy-edutainment experience focused on stories connected to STEM as part of the Fringe World Festival 2019. We’ll cover fascinating concepts, interesting elements of science history, and explore aspects of politics and culture through the lens of science. Don’t worry, we won’t get bogged down in technical jargon, it’s suitable for the general public; there might even be a few swears!
Your two hosts and guides on this journey of discovery are Ben McAllister and Taryn Laubenstein, both up and coming science communicators. Ben’s a passionate physicist working on dark matter detection. He also makes podcasts with Curio Network. Taryn’s a marine biologist who studies how climate change affects fish. Originally from the USA, she’s enjoying her time in Australia, but is still mad that she can’t nail the accent!
Check it out at the Verandah Bar at Rigby’s Bar, 221 St George’s Terrace, Perth.
8, 10, 14 and 16 February @ 6pm
