3 August – 11am, 4 & 5 August – 7.30pm @ Perth Concert Hall,
West Australian Symphony Orchestra

One of Australia’s greatest conductors brings something old, new and borrowed to this celebratory concert.

Has it really been twenty years since Simone Young first introduced herself to WASO audiences? She takes us back to that first concert with Haydn’s Symphony No.99 and then conducts Brahms’ stirring homage to Haydn. Four of WASO’s exceptional wind Principals join Simone to premiere Australian composer Andrew Schultz’s Maali before she concludes this special concert with Brahms’ riotous medley of rowdy student songs!
