5 and 6 October @ Perth Concert Hall ·
Presented by West Australian Symphony Orchestra ·

Superstar cellist Gautier Capuçon returns to WASO to perform Tchaikovsky’s delightful Variations on a Rococo Theme, a work that combines elegance and grace with daring displays of technical brilliance.

Making his WASO debut, French conductor Ludovic Morlot directs two evocative tone poems by Sibelius and Debussy that reflect the sea, like impressionist paintings rendered with music. The iridescent glint of sunlight on gentle waters, crashing waves and fearsome storms are portrayed with glistening, vivid orchestral colour.
