Come to Bassendean on Thursday 11 July for our NAIDOC Family Day. Over 15 years the Town of Bassendean and Derbal Yerrigan Aboriginal Health Service celebration has become a staple event on the NAIDOC Week calendar. Attracting crowds of more than 4,000, it celebrates language, culture and art and promotes the invaluable contribution Aboriginal Australians have made to our community. This FREE event includes sport activities with Football West, Swan Districts Football Club Inc. and the WACA, kids rides, the Deadly Jobs Expo, plus live music performances from Indigenous rock/roots group The Yabu Band, ZERO Emcee, Boox Kid and Indigo Ellis, plus delicious food, cultural activities and much more.
