4 Oct – 17 Nov @ Holmes à Court Gallery @ No.10 ·
Presented by Leslie Meaney ·
This 50-year survey presents the art of Lesley Meaney as a journey of becoming Australian.
With a spirit of enquiry, Meaney draws inspiration from the Australian bush, the heart of the forest and desert. Each of these places, over time, have come to define Meaney’s identity and sense of home. This is an evolving journey, a kaleidoscopic visual feast of vibrant colour, pattern and texture, traversed through painting, drawing, curious objects and stitched works. The exhibition will coincide with the launch of a book featuring Lesley’s work, Lesley Meaney
Becoming Australian an Artist’s Journey. All proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to support a brighter future for children with brain cancer.
