Bubble Show with Mini Milkshake, Bubble Laboratory ·
The Pleasure Garden, 18 January 2022 ·
Junior review by Ollie Newman, age 9 ·
Smoke bubbles, square bubbles, shadow bubbles, bubbles galore. If you or anyone you know likes bubbles, then Bubble Show with Mini Milkshake is the pop-perfect place to go!
It is presented by the Bubble Laboratory Trust, and we are lucky to have this dynamic duo of Kurt Murray and Iulia Benze here in Perth for the Fringe Festival. They have performed all over the world and been on TV in Europe and Asia.
Like bubbles, this show is so uplifting. It’s a story of friendship and fun between a bubble maker Dr Bubble (Murray), and his cheeky puppet Milkshake. With a bit of magic Milkshake comes to life (Benze) and then watch and see all the adventures these two get up to.
I liked this show loads, there was so much interaction with the audience. Seats down the front are the best because you get to pop thousands of bubbles and then get wet when they pop! The smoke bubbles were my favourite and they smelled like marshmallows which was so cool. The moving bubble snowman was also fantastic.
When she came to life Milkshake was funny and a great prankster. She had the crowd clapping for most of the show while Dr Bubble did his bubble tricks.
The ending was where most of the action was with bubbles EVERYWHERE. Plus there was a good moral to take home about friendship and what it means to be a good friend.
I would recommend this show to children under 10 years of age. Everybody was smiling, and both performers did a wonderful job.
You must see this bubble show before it floats out the door! Just get there early so you can get the best seats down the front.
The Bubble Show with Mini Milkshake plays The Hat Trick at The Pleasure Garden until 30 January.
